DTS 360 is all GO

We are now into our 5th week of DTS360 and it is such an honour to be working with the team of staff and students we have. There are 23 students in all, from six nations, ages 17-33.

As we prayed for the students before they arrived I sensed God was hand-picking each one and that although they may look like a random group of individuals, together they would just work.

Here in Kona we have the privilege of being able to have some of YWAM's founders as our speakers. Over the past four weeks we have had Loren & Darleen Cunningham (YWAM founders) share teaching on the foundational values of what our mission is built on - love, laying down your rights, living by grace; Dean Sherman, a legend in the mission shared on relationships - with much humour and challenge; as a staff team we have been teaching on what is DTS, world view, a life of evangelism, sin and repentance - a week that saw our students see freedom from the burden of past life choices. I got to teach on prayer, hearing God's voice and intercession - it was great to get back into some teaching.
Over the next few weeks we have teaching on
identity, the Father heart of God, missions, evangelism, church pioneering and faith.
We are seeing our students change and grow, they are receiving revelation of who God is, who they are in him and what they were created for. They are also being challenged to step up, away from unhealthy life choices and into new possibilities for them
. We have had fun beach days and I have loved having the girls over to my home.
Please be praying for us all in this intense time of transformation and growth. Our schedules are very full and days long, but all good. We know God is shaping us all on this journey and want to seize every opportunity.

One-on-ones

I get to walk with two of our girls particularly closely in discipleship. We meet weekly to talk and process what God is doing in their lives. It has been amazing to see how they are changing as they wrestle with why they are here and what God is challenging them on. They are both strong and lively, and I know God has great plans for them.

Outreach teams

We are sending out two teams from Kona at the beginning of April. One will be heading to central American to work building homes for those in need and doing ministry related to these communities. The other team is heading to Eurasia to work with YWAM ministries. Both teams are coming together and seeking to determine what God will have them do. Our students and staff are busy raising their funds to pay for airfares and living costs.

Please be praying for us all as we journey through the school. DTS is an intense time and the pace is fast.

Please pray for ongoing revelation, energy and financial provision for us all.

Pray that our outreach location details come together - there is so much to be done and we really want what God has for both our teams.

(I am not going on outreach but have other plans which I will share later.)
