Going to Seattle ... at last
Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 8:35AM Woohoo ... on Saturday I fly to Seattle, WA. This trip has been long coming ... I was supposed to go in March for a wedding, but as it was march-madness here in Hawaii, it got postponed. So finally I am heading out. Its all a little last minute, but I am super excited because i will be seeing a bunch of wonderful friends who I have not seen in what seems like an age.

I'm looking forward to being a tourist and see the essential Seattle sights and be in a big city - here in K-town it can all get a little crazy. Seriously I sometimes feel like I am living in LOST - the whole 'stuck on an island' thing. Yesterday I learnt actually how stuck I am when I realised how expensive it is to get of the island ... where is Frank Lapidus with his airplane when I need him?? (By the way, I'm still not sure what I think of the last episode of LOST ...hhmm) I know I am privileged to be living in Hawaii, but you certainly do get rock-fever after not leaving for a while. So WA here I come!!
These are the wonderful friends who I can not wait to see ... I'll be updating with my adventures ...
Amanda ... we did life together in K-town ... laughed, cried and talked about boys ... now she found herself a hansom husband. She if full of life and has beautiful blue eyes.

Jen & Gary ... and their munchkins Caleb & Jude ... we travelled the jungles of central America together ... up river in a canoe, huts 10 feet off the ground and took a lot of photos together. Hoping Caleb still has 'aunty Jo' in his vocabulary and looking forward to hugging baby Jude.

Erin ... we traveled South Africa together ... I made her cry, get mad, laugh and dance ... I get to meet her new husband too.

Mo ... he was our Santa Clause in South Africa ... the best ghetto santa ever in a skin tight santa-suit ... we did K-town life together.

Kari ... one of my first K-town friends ... recommended Cover Girl Lash Blast mascara to me and I've worn it since. Another one who found herself a good man I get to meet.

Anyone else in Seattle wanting to catch up ... drop me a little note ... see you all soon!
