Listening to one of my hero's speak

One of the blessings of living in Kona are the amazing people we have come visit ...

Don Richardson ... a legend in missions ... author of 'Peace Child' ... is speaking at the Ohana meeting tonight. He and his family went to live with a tribe in New Guinea and sowed their lives into seeing the truth of Jesus know.

His book is one of my favourites and has helped shape my understanding of how to be used by God in missions... they showed the commitment and sacrifice needed to reach all people. And the reliance on revelation from God through prayer that there is always a way to share the gospel, and a desire in people to hear it.

His revelation that this murderous people had a story in their culture that God has placed in them ... that if a 'peace child'... one given child as a sacrifice to seal peace in their community.

This man has given language and understanding to what i could not ... his book should be required reading for anyone who has a heart and call to cross-culture. GO AND READ IT NOW!!!
